Lila + Sage will do far more than just prepare your wedding menu.
Not only can we help coordinate the wedding reception timeline and flow of dinner, but in most cases design your reception with the help of renting all the table tops, chairs, linens, offer bar service, and even bake your cake too (no pressure… but just in case, check out our previous work here!) Below are some frequently asked questions to keep you at ease.
Are you available?
What is your date in mind so we can check our calendar? We hope to be available for you!
What kind of styles do you offer, and if I send you photos of examples can we start from there?
Yes, This helps us tremendously, so we can get the look and feel of your wedding day. We usually get pretty creative from this part and can make suggestions too. We will take into consideration time of sunset, typical weather for the time of year, seasonal menus, and more to design your day so it will be the best. We come from a design background – so we have lots of props to pull from to fit your style or time to shop to get those.
Do you offer coordination, rentals, set up, etc.?
Yes we will handle everything from the rentals of table settings to set up, bar service, and clean up. What is included depends on the types of services and needs for your event. We offer full service coordination and day of coordination too.
What’s the average price range and types of service do you offer?
A good chunk of your budget will go to catering. THe pricing depends on how many appetizers, what type of entrees, and the dessert you choose. (a trend today is a small bride and groom cake and mini cupcakes- our speciality and is the most cost effective). All items are al a carte so you can design a custom menu. We offer services like buffet, family style, and plated dinners. The average pricing for wedding meals here in Murphys ranges anywhere $55-$90 per person plus local tax and gratuity.
Is the caterer able to prepare vegetarian, gluten free, kosher, childrens meals?
Yes we are happy to prepare food for your guests with food allergies and custom needs. We just need to know ahead of time and a head count. We gotcha covered!
When will the food tasting take place?
Once the date of your event is confirmed and your proposal is signed, we will schedule a food tasting so you can taste our food and finalize your menu for your big day. Tastings take place at our commercial kitchen located at 107 Emerald Creek Rd. in Murphys, CA. Tastings usually take around 2 hours. Please let us know how many guests will be in attendance and come hungry. Also note that tastings typically happen in our slow months, January- April or midweek other times of the year, as we are usually at events every weekend.
Do we have a license and where is the food prepared?
Lila and Sage has a state of the art commercial kitchen which meets all health department standards. We also carry liability insurance. Most of our food is prepped and prepared at our kitchen for off site events- except for those venues with a full service kitchen.
How do we retain your services?
Most importantly we want you to like our work and love our food… If so we need a deposit to “Save the Date.” The deposit will be applied to the balance of your wedding. The balance is due 2 weeks before your wedding, along with your final decisions and guest count.
