Entertaining, cooking and design has been a lifetime passion for Skye. Hailing from the OC, with a cake decorator and a fabulous cook for a Mother, Skye had many years of kitchen/design training even prior receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design. However, it was in college, under the mentorship of renowned designer Barclay Butera that her passion and gift really began to blossom. After college, she moved to Murphys and attended Culinary School to even further hone her skills. Her highly focused background and unrivaled eye for detail are unmatched and what has made Lila and Sage such a success for so many years.
FUN FACTS ABOUT SKYE:
Skye loves snowboarding and the mountains in the winter and wake surfing and white water rafting in the summer. In the fall one of her favorite things to do is go to 49er games.
She has a beautiful and smart 17 year old daughter named Zoe and a darling mixed breed dog named Sugar.
Her other passion is designing and building houses and has built three on her own, to date. She just recently finished building her modern farm house with her wonderful partner, Mike, of 15 years.
Chef Chip is a California native, but it was during his full ride scholarship to the prestigious Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina that he really realized his talent. Afterword, he began cutting his teeth at fine dining establishments throughout the country. Chef Chip has now been with the team for over 6 years, creating and executing incredible menus for Lila and Sage’s clients. In his free time, Chip is an avid whitewater rafter and even mixes in both of his passions by catering rafting trips with the world-renowned OARS Adventure Company! But probably Chip’s most favorite thing to do is cook with his 14 year old son, Chester. (It’s not unusual if, while cooking together, they figure out some way to make it a competition…) Speaking of competition, Chip is also a multiple Chili-Cook Off Champion, a competition held every year by the Murphys Rotary Club.
